2月1日，中国工商银行（601398.SH，01398.HK）发布公告称，2月1日，陈四清向中国工商银行董事会提交辞呈。因年龄原因，陈四清辞去工行董事长、执行董事、董事会战略委员会主席及委员职务。
工行对陈四清任职期间的工作给予高度评价，“陈四清先生担任本行董事长期间，恪尽职守，勤勉敬业，开拓创新，锐意进取，坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，坚持金融工作政治性、人民性，大力推进金融工作‘三项任务’，推动本行有效发挥服务实体经济的主力军和维护金融稳定的压舱石作用。”工行在公告中表示。
同日，工行发布公告称，选举廖林为工行董事长。因为工作调整，廖林将辞去工行行长职务。工行董事长同时还决定提名工行副行长张文武为该银行执行董事候选人。
1月20日上午，中央组织部有关负责同志出席中国工商银行干部会议，宣布中央决定：廖林同志任中国工商银行党委书记，免去陈四清同志的中国工商银行党委书记职务。
出生于1966年2月的廖林现任第二十届中央候补委员，工商银行行长。此番卸任的陈四清1960年出生，他于2023年3月已任第十四届全国政协外事委员会副主任。
目前，工行的领导班子为：党委书记、拟任董事长、行长廖林，副行长兼首席风险官王景武，副行长张文武、张伟武、段红涛，董秘官学清，高级业务总监熊艳、宋建华。
